Experience France - whether it's gallic charm or French flair, the country has everthing

If you are following the example of many of our clients and driving to Germany, you can't really do this without stopping for a baguette somewhere, and spending at least part of your journey travelling through France. Whilst some people take what is generally the fastest route from the Channel crossing ports along the motorways through Lille, on to Liege and cross the border into Germany at Aachen, why not take longer over the journey, for example, stopping at the Cathedral City of Reims in the heart of the Champagne Region, before travelling across country towards Metz, down to Mulhouse, and cross-over into Germany close to many of the classic routes through the Black Forest.
The mixture of France and Germany allows you to create wonderful contrasts and combinations - how about a stop at Disneyland Paris which is the largest themepark in Europe, with the second largest - Europa Park, between Munich and Stuttgart. If you are a roller-coaster fan, you'll can't beat this for the very best ups and downs. If you are into your wines, then a holiday where you can compare and contrast the products of the finest French and German vineyards should be on every wine-lovers' plan...and whilst on the subject, if your taste is for 'fizz', what could be better than stopping at some of Kent's vineyards that produce award-winning English sparkling wine, crossing the Channel, and breaking your journey in Reims to taste some fine champagnes, before journeying onwards towards the Rhine and Moselle Regions of Germany - home to the producers of wonderful Sekt - cheers !
We can help you with the complete range of holidays to enable you to explore and experience France en route to Germany, whether you require Channel crossings with the car, or need our assistance planning a wonderful itinerary by train using the iconic TGVs through France, combined with Germany's ICE. There's no better high-speed way of seeing both countries.
You can use the Accommodation option to search for hotels along your route, or you can use the Contact Us facility to send us details of your requirements, and we will come back to you with a personalised quotation.
